Inclusion Canada supports the federal government’s decision to make permanent the exclusion of mental illness as the sole underlying medical condition for medical assistance in dying (MAiD). However, the organization opposes the expansion to advance requests proposed in the same legislation and is calling on the government to remove those provisions from Bill C-41, the Medical Assistance in Dying Safeguards Act.
