While employers struggle to find workers, roughly three-quarters of working-age Canadians with an intellectual disability or autism remain unemployed or underemployed, despite being ready and able to work. It's time to stop overlooking the talent that's already here.

Inclusion Canada welcomes the recommendation to amend the Criminal Code to indefinitely exclude persons whose sole underlying medical condition is a mental illness from eligibility for MAiD. We urge the federal government to implement the recommendation without delay. Inclusion Canada believes the committee has reached the right conclusion.
